At the moment we are recruiting a creative Pastry Chef, for our partner hotel, a luxurious mountain resort in Austria, with starting date in July or August 2023:

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Bakery and Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same position, in a luxury hotel or high-quality restaurant
Fluent in English language
Knowledge in food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
Ability of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
Enhanced attention to detail and creativity
Strong passion for the art of food design
Excellent organizing and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask
Able to work effectively as part of an international team
International team player spirit and willingness to work abroad
Groomed appearance, and great physical shape
EU citizen

Tasks:

Plan, implement and manage daily pastry operations
Suggest and prepare dessert menus
Prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread 
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings so that they are appealing to the eye
Maintain a clean cooking station
Monitor supplies and ingredients necessary for daily operations 
Train, guide and motivate pastry assistants 
Follow health and safety standards
Stay up to date with the latest food and industry trends
