At the moment we are looking for a motivated and highly skilled
Hotel Director for an 80 room, Famous 4*S Hotel in Austrian Alps!
Qualifications & Experience
Proven minimum 5 years’ experience as Hotel Manager for a 4* or 5* hotel. Native or excellent command of German and fluency in English.
Degree in Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management, or relevant field
Understanding of all hotel management fields and relevant laws and guidelines.
Having prior experience in HR policies and best practices
Excellent understanding and hands on experience in revenue management and related processes
Working knowledge of MS Office and hotel management software (PMS)
Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail
EU citizen
Tasks
Supervise work at all levels (receptionists, kitchen staff, maids, office employees etc.) and set clear objectives
Plan activities and allocate responsibilities to achieve the most efficient operating model
Verifying that all departments are following the most effective procedures
Manage budgets and expenses, analyze, and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits
Have an overview in marketing, sales, and revenue strategy to promote the hotel’s services
Communicate with customers when appropriate (welcome them to the facilities, address their complaints, find solutions to problems, offer information etc.)
Cooperate with responsible partners for maintenance and be informed about major maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.
Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners etc.
Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
